Razor Bumps?

Don't you hate those ugly red bumps that are left all over your legs after you shave? Here are a few tips on how to prevent them!

  1. Sharpen! Make sure your razor is sharp. A dull blade is more likely to scratch your skin. Ouch! You should change your blade about once a week.
  2. Heat! Run your razor under hot water for 10 seconds before shaving. A warm razor will cut your hairs a lot easier.
  3. Disinfect! Your razor will pick up germs if you leave it in the shower. Dip it in rubbing alcohol and store it in your bathroom drawer.
  4. Lightly! Lightly glide your razor with the grain of your hair.
  5. Do not repeat! Only go over each area once. Multiple strokes can cause a rash.
  6. Shaving cream! It'll help your razor glide over your skin a lot easier and help prevent razor burn. Make sure it's not alcohol based because it can cause ingrown hairs.
