Don't you hate those ugly red bumps that are left all over your legs after you shave? Here are a few tips on how to prevent them!
- Sharpen! Make sure your razor is sharp. A dull blade is more likely to scratch your skin. Ouch! You should change your blade about once a week.
- Heat! Run your razor under hot water for 10 seconds before shaving. A warm razor will cut your hairs a lot easier.
- Disinfect! Your razor will pick up germs if you leave it in the shower. Dip it in rubbing alcohol and store it in your bathroom drawer.
- Lightly! Lightly glide your razor with the grain of your hair.
- Do not repeat! Only go over each area once. Multiple strokes can cause a rash.
- Shaving cream! It'll help your razor glide over your skin a lot easier and help prevent razor burn. Make sure it's not alcohol based because it can cause ingrown hairs.
